Editorial Illustration
PT Geni é uma revista digital sobre diversidade e gênero. A edição da qual participei, celebrando o Dia da Consciência Negra Brasileira, discute questões raciais e de gênero. Fui convidada a fazer ilustrações para o cabeçalho da edição on-line, o editorial e dois textos. O primeiro texto, Irmãos e Irmãs revolucionárixs, é um manifesto escrito pelo líder dos Panteras Negras, Huey Newton, no qual ele apela para pessoas dentro do movimento pensarem sobre seus preconceitos contra gays e mulheres. A introdução é de Marcos Visnadi. O texto seguinte, Só se você é velho, rico e de uma região específica, por Cosmicicorubá, fala sobre os mitos e desafios do matriarcado africano.
EN Geni is a digital magazine about diversity and gender. The issue I participated in, celebrating the Brazilian Black Awareness Day, and discusses racial and gender issues. I was invited to make illustrations for the header of the online issue, the editorial, and two texts.
The first text, Irmãos e Irmãs revolucionárixs (Revolutionary Brothers and Sisters) is a manifesto written by the leader of the Black Panthers, Huey Newton, in which he engages with people within the movement to think about their prejudices against gays and women. The introduction is by Marcos Visnadi. The following text, Só se você for velha, rica e de uma região específica ( Only if you are old, rich and from a specified region), by Cosmicyorubá, talks about the myths and challenges of the African matriarchy.
